I just bought a MD and I am waiting for the snow to melt so I can go and test it out. So I have been thinking about places to hunt and I remembered a story I heard a few years ago.

I heard this story from a historian at a Toronto area historic attraction.

The story goes something like this. During the war or 1812, the Americans were about to invade Toronto. The city officials took whatever cash the city had and buried it in a large iron pot in the Don Valley. When city employees went to recover it months later, it was not found.

The Don river valley is largely undeveloped to this day as it is a floodplain.

If anyone has any more info, please post.
