i have read several stories on this. from what i understand the wind blows pretty good in that area, sometimes the wind blows the sand away enough to see the ship then
covers it again with sand. it is interesting.

Wasn't there a story about a VIKING ship that was stranded back in time? Supposedly it was re-found a few times but eventually lost.
Supposed to have been in the Salton Sea area.
