Rabtor, left out a lot of info, but maybe he/she hasn't done much research here. He writes that treasure hunting is outlawed where he lives. Well, then, he should start an in depth research project about the HISTORY of his area; sort of a book project and NOT use the word "treasure" anywhere in his notes. Since we don't know WHERE he lives, that statement about Jewish people being in the area might mean something or nothing. If he's in the Middle East, maybe there was a Jewish Kibbutz (I don't know how to spell that word, obviously) which would not necessarily mean anything. Or, the Jewish folks in the area were one of the tribes of the Exodus.
You see how not knowing where this area is leaves a very big hole in our knowledge base.................to START with.
If he/she doesn't feel comfortable in saying where he lives, then he'll need to do the history book routine and educate himself DEEPLY in the past occupants and their lifestyles to even get a place to start in his research for possible valuables.

After getting your PM, I'd think he could cover his research with a history of religions in his area; with the Arabic slant.
