I think it's Egyptian. It was found in Egypt. It depicts an Egyptian emperor. Why do you think it's Roman?

Rubka888 -- coin is Egyptian (Ptolemy III/IV). Roman rule came a few hundred years later towards the end of Ptolemaic Dynasty

Edit: I rewatched the excellent HBO Rome series via Amazon Prime a few weeks ago. I'd forgotten just how great that show is. James Purfoy's Marc Antony stands out particularly but the entire cast is brilliant.
