Anybody watch the new season opener of Deadliest Catch last week. They had a boat go down and lost 3 guys. Love the show...hate to see people get hurt or killed.
When I was younger (and braver) I fished Halibut there . The system was identical to the method used in the movie "The Perfect Storm" . It was dangerous but the money was good . A goodly amount of guys died when going topside when drinking to relieve themselves and fell overboard . The seas are deadly . During turbulant times you learned to work with one hand while constantly holding on to the vessel with the other . It became a habit . If you went over you might not be missed for quite a while .
