Any one have any thoughts on this button that I found, 1 inch diameter, wording at the top "MONSTRAT VIAM" bottom wording "INDEPENDENT CADETS" the wording on the ribbon in the eagle's beak "E PLURIBUS UNUM" on the back "TREBLE GILT". From my research MONSTRAT VIAM, meaning "It Points the Way" is the motto for The First Corps of Cadets of Massachusetts formed in 1741, used various alternate names, with Independent Cadets being used from 1803-1840.
Does anyone have any info on this button or can point me to some more info.
Thanks
