    Google vintage navigation light from fiberglass boat.Go to brass ,then third row down with red and blue light covers and E-bay all over picture.

    I still haven't seen anything like it. Post a photo if you see one. I'm thinking it probably is an electrical contact for a movable door, hatch, cover of some sort. The small post would be the contact point that would match up with it's opposite once the item was closed. That's MY wag!
