    no clue...

    Found this in the wall of a falling down house, built in the 1800s. Thought it was interesting. It looks like something to do with electricity, but I don't know. It looks like it says "Unit C"....maybe? Shaped like a battery. I tried researching but I cant seem to find out what it is. I also don't really have any idea how old it is, so if you could help me out on the age too that'd be great! Thanks!

    Yup, it’s a Unit Cell battery made by the Simmons Hardware Co. Probably from the 1920’s or 30’s. Most likely 1.5 volt.Click image for larger version.
