    What?

I found this in a park and the area is know for the indian native American tribes dating back far as to 1762 Creek Indian*village and the closest Indian settlement in close to this area. Is this a point im guessing its broken on 1 side right what type of point is this how did it break? Its like a brownish white what type of material is this. There was a creek that was close by that civil war bullets were found. They had a battle in and along the creek. And there was an old mill built in 1827 it is now demolished since 1887 pioneer resident. not to far either. how would u estimate date this. Could this be to the mill or to the brigade civil war battle? Click image for larger version.

I think there is a whole chat page on arrowheads you could post this to. I am not sure if Native Americans used the sort if mineral that you found to make them? And I am sure Native Americans lived in much if North America back thousands , not just a few hundred years.

I'm no expert but that looks like a natural stone to me.

Sorry, it is not an arrowhead and it is not worked by man, just a natural piece of quartz. Keep hunting, sooner or later one will be found.

Cool, My house sets on a high bluff over the river and is a known camp of the Powhattan Tribe . I find a lot of iffy rocks with the general shape of a point and some unmistakable points too.
all my points are quartz except one that is a black stone of some type. maybe post your find in the Native American Indian forum further down the page ,they may see something that I don't.
