I dug these a few years ago at several old farm/construction sites on the outskirts of Madrid. These sites were all within a couple miles of each other. Some are obviously Spanish and French and I'm guessing from the time of Napoleon. Can anyone provide additional information on age, country, units.... Thanks
the first three buttons are cast (pewter) and slightly convex. I've included a pic of one back which is typical of all three.

the flaming bomb is a known symbol ( used by the british--maybe others too)-- the castle and loin on the sheild is spanish symbol without a doubt --the flur de lis --while thought of as "french" symbol was in fact used heavily by the spanish after the french line of the family took over the spanish crown --early 1700's
