Hi I knew Irene Smith. Her and her husband Lawrence Smith made these clowns. I remember seeing them throughout her home as a young girl. They lived in Biggs California. They had one daugter and a Grandson. Both Irene and Lawrence passed away in the late 1990s. Irene was an amazingly talented artist and I always admired her. I have a small painting of hers that she did for me as a little girl. My aunt has several of her pieces. I was just curious about her work and if it was ever famous so I googled her and came across your post. Where did you find the clown?
