What a way to start the month. Here are todays finds...... The Ring has got to be one of my favorites so far.........found it just off the playground basketball court........about 4" down.......The Inscription reads: "IN TREUEN FEST" the only language which translated was German....... The Translations reads: "IN LOYAL PARTY". Because of the Inscription and language. I'm guessing it to be from the 1940's, but I could be wrong. 
I took it to the jewelers to see about having it refurbished and I got two surprises....... 1st the jeweler said he would refurbish it for $20. 
What a deal.............2nd He told me that the little blue specks within the cross are what is left of a sapphire in-lay and the white in the shield area was probally mother of Pearl 
bummer it's not intact, but I'll keep it just the same 
and plan to go ahead with the refurbishing.
