07/23 AM Beach Cache

Wife and I started out at sunup for a 3 hour tour on the beach ... She in the sand, me in the water ... She spanked me something fierce today, with super finds, and another sweet beach cache...

She likes to comb the beach as she goes along, collecting towels, sandals, shorts, shoes ... She passes them out after cleaning to her fellow dialysis patients who are in need... If never hurts to check, and sure enough, in the pocket of a kids bathing suit was $7 - 2 $1 and a $5 bill...

I approach later in the morning to have a smoke, in time to see her scrape a crown royal bag off the surface ... Bang ... Inside were 25 $1 coins ... I gotta tell ya ... Her and her Bounty Hunter 505 mean treasure... All alone, she scored 3 pair of earrings, $7 in cash, and $36.72 in clad (including her cache) ... Not bad pay for a 3 hour tour!

Congrats to your wife on the great finds. I always find more stuff on the dry sand compared to the surf, maybe thats because everyone here always detects the surf. I've only found 2 of the dollar coins in about 15 beach hunts. I think I would chit myself if I found a whole bag of them.

Nice finds...I wonder if the crown royal bag was buried for some sort of treasure hunt. Do any detecting clubs have seeded hunts there? Although that would be hard to miss in a seeded hunt. Maybe some high school or college kids set up a treasure hunt. Just a thought...
