Went out after work last night for a short hunt. I did not have to much time till dark so I decided to stay close to home. There is a old home site about 100 yards from my house that I have hunted several times and have found a few keepers. I had decided to detect the area from north to south instead of east to west this time. I do believe it did make some difference because this is the most coins a have ever found here even in twice the amount a hunting time. Also found some sort of name tag that Betty lost. Thanks for looking.

Nice finds, I think you have to hit an area from all kinds of directions, coins lay differently in the ground and it all depends on how you aproach them that will let you find them or not!

Camb1,

That's a very successful 1.5 hour hunt there! Don't you wish you could do that every time you go out detecting?

Congrats,

Good job on a hunted over site ... I believe direction of hunt and ground conditon have an impact and some days I seem to be just more in tune with my detector ... Congratz on the nice finds ~ Jimmy
