Hi All

I guess after I had gotten over the first problems with metal detecting in Hawaii, I got used to it and started to find rings and offcourse coins. There are 5 silver rings and 1 gold ring in the bunch. Nothing speciel but I am happy never the less as it brings my total ring count to 20 over the last 2 years.

I guess the best pointer I can give for the rings find is in the water where there where rocks.

Thanks for looking sory about the bad picture

Wow you did great! How much time did you spend detecting? What was your coin count for the week?

Great job. Any ring gold or silver ring is something special. Not everyone can or will find one. That's why it's special.

Thanks all for the comments, I did about 9 hours of hunt in the water off waikik beach, coin count something like 50-60 coins, nothing special, but main rings per coin.

I normally say that I have to find 100 coins on an east coast beach before I find a ring. In hawaii after getting the machine settings right it like the ring count is a bit better than the best place I know on an east coast beach. Maybe my detecting for rings has change a little bit but still.

For the question on tone on rings, I always just did all good tones and there by do not miss anything. I also do get a fair amount of pulltabs but that ok, then I know people have been there and I am cleaning up the beach at the same time.

Thanks

All

Excalibur 1000, it works good over there once you take the normal hummmmmmmmmm away and just trust the target tone and run silent with the treashold.

Thanks for looking
