Visited a new area of a beach today ... Bit junky but lots and lots of targets. Interesting find of the day was a half set of handcuffs (Wonder what stories they could tell?!) ... And the bizarre golden trinket as photoed. No clue what it is, what it was, but enjoyed seeing all 2.0 grams of its 14k goodness in my scoop -- sits on top of a quarter (size wise). Hunted like hades trying to find the rest of it --- maybe another day!

Happy Hunting!

It probably held something like an animal tooth or a rock crystal.

Stopped in at Jeweler Joes place this morning with the trinket ... He said it would have been the cap to a fossil (sharks tooth) and or a misc. stone pendent. Said he's made numerous over the years, no question on it, so the guess above was spot on, nice job! In one of the photos, you can see some crud of sorts on the lip side, making it look iffy, thats glue, and is what was used to hold whatever item it held. Item tested out at 14k, so now it's time to hit it again and find the chain that it came off of.
