I should probably go home. I don't think I'll find anything else good but maybe I will! Lady said shoot me an offer I didn't count them I just said $350? She goes no thank you but I will take 500! I said okay you got a deal added them up hundred ounces there sterling silver but there collectible and there's a whole bunch of them! I'm not even sure if they're only 1 ounce coins they might be bigger but I'm thinking they probably are 1 ounce. I will update this thread a little bit later when I get home and get take care some stuff I need to do. Also bought some 1800 silver coins as well for $20.

How do you know they are sterling and not pewter? This set was also issued in pewter.

Looking on ebay, sterling sets of 60 are going for around $1200.

On the edge of them they are marked Sterling silver series 1972. I have found these in the past so I know to make make sure they are either marked Sterling or 925.

Those are Sterling I picked up some of those a few years ago. I have a friend that goes to garage sales nearly every week end like I do, and one time he bought a bag of coins for 20$ that had 22$ in clad and 300$ in silver. I don't remember if any of those were worth more then sterling or not. I do remember they were very detailed and deeply struck. Awesome Find!!!

36 total there for at 1.3 oz.

This set has 61.3 ounce coins

And then also was a handful of US silver Collins and some other foreign stuff.

One is pretty hard to read and it has a hole in it but it's dated 1781.

There is a super rough condition 1876 Carson City quarter there as well!

Now do we save them or do we sell them? Lol

What a score! Keep one thing to remember this score by, and sell everything else!

Yeah this is my problem when I come to something that I don't care for and I can make a lot of money on it I sell it but when it comes to something like this well I talked myself into why should keep it. And then say silver dropped to $10 an ounce instead of 15 then I'm sick to my stomach that I did not sell it. Or I tell myself why I deserve to keep it.

I remember going and buying a lottery ticket when my dad came to visit me. I won $200 on that ticket and he turned to me and said son how are you going to invest your money. We drove down the road and I went to the coin store and bought 4 American Silver Eagles....

Good thing I won't be able to sell now for probably like 10 years ! I was so happy walking out of that store and showing him what I had bought. And today they're worth maybe $80? Poooooooh!

But I guess in the long run that's better than having spent it all at the bar!
