Yeah, my first self-scratched silver! AUGH!!! >:(

My brother's place is dated 1823, his neighbor's place is dated 1820. I detected my brother's place last year, got bunches of memorial cents and my brother actually unearthed a 1898 Barber Dime last year when putting in his addition to the house! No detector needed for that one!

Well I see that his neighbor's place is for sale not knowing that they're in Texas already. My brother is "watching" the place. He said go ahead, see what you can find!

I only did the small front yard, I got more bunches of memorial cents again but eventually started getting some wheaties then finally... a half dollar signal at 5 inches.
I began the plug popping and hit a tree root. The half was under the root. Thinking that I was careful enough, I still nicked it just enough to scratch it. Dang it! >:(

But nevertheless, I was still excited to dig up a silver half dollar! Woohoo! :)
Also got two child's play quarters and a Bermuda Piggy Cent too.

Congratulations DigginItUp. Great finds. Those tree roots are just too hard to get around sometimes. Awesome half though. My favorite coin.

Ahhhhh... but it was the Mighty Diggin Tool! It's the ONLY digger that I use 'cause it's the best there is! Slices thru anything like butter!

Congrats on that great looking Walker.Damn tree roots! It's hard to be careful when you have to cut them out of the way to retrieve a target. It's happened to me and countless others out there I'm sure.
I got a look at one of Mighty APs digging tools today while out hunting with Gypsy. That is one awesome digger with the double serrated edges.I believe that would cut through just about anything in its way.
Best of luck to you and HH!
