11/16 Finds..........Worked Over Camp

Went today to a pounded camp that was Gen. Nathaniel Lyons Union Army hangout for a few days here in SW Missouri. Found a few.......the new Xterra sniffed these out. Most were 6' plus deep, the MXT has new competition.

Were you in the weed along the edge hunting when you found these?
That's one of the tips I learned from civilman....Go where most won't go.

They were all over the fields. This area has been hunted back when the old timers only got down 3-4 inches. We have found pockets of relics that were walked over by others, including myself with the MXT.
I found one .69 3 ringer next to a hole that was dug 2 weeks ago

Nice looking finds and site, I love those teardrops. I had a good a day today digging my first Jeff Davis hat pin. It was in about 4 or 5 piece's but I know someone that can fix thin brass like that. I hope you can come to our meeting this tuesday at 7pm. If you do bring some of your finds. Tim
