Went out Tuesday in the bad weather to button hill. Ended up getting 14 button including a beautiful open faced colonial button. First of that kind for me. Brings my total button count from here to 261. Can I reach 300 before the year is over??? Thanks for looking!

That is a beauty.
I've not got one of that type yet...maybe never will I only recall maybe a couple found this year (not counting this one). Bill D got one I'm pretty sure.

300 should be no problem the way your going, just get out there a couple of more times.

Love that open-work button Matt. Looks like it had plenty of gilt too. If you're still finding that many buttons on each trip I'm sure the place is still loaded.

Those open work buttons are stunning. That's a beauty Matt. HEAVYMETALNUT dug the most beautiful one I've ever seen earlier this year. Good job getting out and on the buttons. I would rather dig a beautiful colonial button than most coins...... Most coins I say lol

I know Ahab. We've been talking on Facebook. He showed me a cleaning method for that button. It's an awesome button man.

yep, I like those a lot, and have found a few.

I'd hunt that spot right until the day I could not dig a button.

Wow that last one is my fave but they're all incredible. People really cared about their attire back then. It makes me sick seeing people in their pajamas with spaghetti stains on them out in public. Hmmmm that's half the Wal Mart population. Hope I didn't offend anyone :-)

You are entitled to your opinion, as is everyone else.
Far as I'm concerned too many people get offended too easy.
I guess anyone is alos entitled to wear whatever they like, but I wouldn't be caught dead out in public wearing what you mention, or some other comfortable wear, which I won't name, but you can figure out.

Sorry Matt if gone a little off topic. You still found a great button, as is the consensus.

He only wears spandex and a cape when he goes door knocking. That way he gets the sympathy for thinking that he's "special".
