of '96P Halves!!

After getting my normal 3 boxes per week, I was able to pick up some CWRs on Friday. Went to a bank that had $330, so like everyone says "I bought 'em all". Went through the first $180, all had a black pen "x" on the side of the roll. I figured someones dump, but I did pull a 1976S - 40% silver from those, guess they were only date searching and didn't realize that it was silver - their loss! Anyhow, I continued. Opened a non marked roll....all shiny 96's, next roll...all shiny 96's, and again for the next 12 rolls. The final roll was a different wrapper and just a mix of clad. Very weird, I guess someone was saving them, then realized they are only worth 50 cents.

I was pretty happy with the rest of my results for the week:
$330 CWR (above) - 1 - 40%
$200 CWR - Skunk
Box 1 - 7 - 40%
Box 2 - 2 -90%(1964's) & 6 - 40%
Box 3 - Skunk
$5.50 Teller Tray - 1 - 40%

Probably my best week in about 2 months!

HH everyone!

the 96Ps are all over the place, I remember I had boxes with over 50% being brand new shinny 96P turds. I did manage to actually turn a profit on them, was dumping like usual, some dude comes up and asks what these big coins are. I tell him...its 50c pieces, he asks if he can buy 5 bucks worth, I say sure go for it, so he picks out 10 of the shiniest ones in the coin counter tray as they are getting eaten up. Give me 10 bucks, walks away, I hear him tell his buddy how I am a sucker...lol

I haven't seen many nice 1996 halves... Now the 1995 half dollars... I find nice mint state ones in just about every single roll.

I'm in the DC area and have also noticed that the 1996 P's are the cleanest, shiniest coins in my rolls. Out of three MWRs that a bank had today, one was solid 1996 Ps, which all looked BU. I'm dumping them anyway, but I keep scratching my head as to why these 1996 Ps are always so nice looking.

Last week I went through a solid box of 2001 halves, also an uncirculated $20 roll of 1971 halves.
