I believe this is one rare rock. My grandfather found this in the brook behind his house on the Island of Puerto Rico. His only guess is that it was Tiano Indian. Before coming to visit me, he visited an appraiser who confirmed it to be authentic and worth a lot of money. When he came to visit, he passed it on to me. Anyone know anything about this? ???

Interesting.Kind of looks like what is called a nutting stone in the midwest.I was looking at some pictures of what looked like nutting stones from Texas but they were calling them fire starters?Anyways it sure is a neat peice.

Morning,

Looks rather like a fossilized ear....LOL Thats a hard call, to me its a rock with a hole in it, but I lack imagination. It could be a fire starter I suppose. Personally I have never come across one of those in my travels. As for having a great deal of value, again it would hinge on authentication...even then though, don't expect to purchase a new car with proceeds from selling it. ;)

Happy Hunting,

Atlantis
