bought a box of old watches and lighters at a garage sale on Saturday for $20. there was 2 ladies 14k gold watches in there. one is a small 17 jewel swiss Louis co. watch and the other is an omega at 20.6g, excellent condition and runs perfect. There's one on the bay for $1299, but the wife's not letting go of it. DSC_0009.JPGDSC_0011.JPGDSC_0012.JPGDSC_0010.JPG

There's always an adrenaline rush and a fast heartbeat when a 14kt gold watch is seen....and finally paid for!

Although there's something about an older watch's dated design and the thoughts of its history, but I agree with your choice. The rush gets a little more intense and the heartbeat gets to a "pounding" level when the watch band is gold-soldered to the case and that's saying/showing it's all the same karat as the watch case!!

Great Find!

Wow! That would be a rush for sure, congrats!

Awesome find! Tell your wife that this is her present and not to expect anything else. LOL

very nice find. generally the old ladies watches are a dime-a-dozen but when it comes to the higher end ones, they can bring in big bucks. id recommend having it serviced. it may cost 100$ but should make selling it easier and make it more desirable.
