Thats what I do when I have stuff I cant Id and to old to see any detail. I wonder if the people who sewed on buttons back then must not have been very good with all the zillion buttons people find lol Did you find any cool ones

Thats what I do when I have stuff I cant Id and to old to see any detail. I wonder if the people who sewed on buttons back then must not have been very good with all the zillion buttons people find lol Did you find any cool ones

I think they are all pretty cool, but this is my best one. I haven't finished cleaning it yet, but stopped tumbling it once I realized what it was.

Could they be from the clothing of mill workers that fell off their clothes into the path of the grinding mill stones?

The best I can determine, it was in operation from the late 1700's until the late 1800's.
