On Saturday morning I hunted a sports field that dates back to the mid 1950's and on Sunday and Monday Sue and I hunted the site where a school built in 1923 stands. A new school has been built along side of it so some of the original playground is under the new school. The oldest things we found were a pair of common date wheat cents but the clad for the three days totaled 26 pennies, 5 nickels, 57 dimes, and 69 quarters...….157 coins worth $23.46. In addition to the coins, I dug a heavy sterling silver charm bracelet with an old fashioned looking initial "A" on it. We dug a couple of oddball items and the ring with the pink stone was an eyeball find on top of the grass but isn't silver.
