I just had to share this with you guys as I know how much you love Spanish silver!

I dug this beauty today at a farm that I've been detecting for a while.

I've pulled quite a bit of silver and copper coins from this place as it's been around since the 1600s.

This beauty is a 1684 2 reale. This is my second 2 reale from this property. The first was from the early 1800s.

This is the oldest coil I've dug on the property and it's also my oldest coin dug to date! Prior to this my oldest coin was a 1783 Georgio Truimpho.

It's tough to find coins this old in the states. I'm still in shock!

I think it's an 1684/3 but it is tough to tell... Opinions?

Man that is just awesome! Dying to find my first 17th century coin. Big congrats....I love Spanish silver and was lucky to find 3 pieces this first year. You've got an amazing site there

Thanks all. This sure was a dream find for me. I never imagined finding a 1600s coin in the US. It's going to be tough to beat for sure.

Spectacular find.
Congrats.
