I stopped on my way home where some people where tearing down a old log house and ask the lady if she would mind me detecting seeing how the yard was all torn up from the backhoe. she Sade fine detect all you want.
she told me the old home was her great great great grandfathers home stead and it has been in there family for years.
I told her I would return any heirlooms.
so she will get this back when i see her next.
its silver and looks like it was gold plated at one time.
the stone is gone too, bummer.
it was about 10 " deep I dug all over trying to find the stone with no luck.
started not to dig it, thought it was trash,.

Congrats, nice find, did you find anything else? I would think if you dug 10 inches for that, you shouldn't have missed any other targets.

I hunted this site for over a month and had no real luck after my nickle find and the broach.
i found a new log home a few weeks ago. and have permission to hunt all I want.
The guy even let me run my bush hog mower over it.
Ill post some pics later.
found a few weats so far. one was a 1916.
found a few toy cars also.
