I hit the beaches hard for 2 days following the hurricane. I searched several areas from Melbourne to Ft Pierce and discovered that as a treasure hunter I'm a pretty good shell collector.

When we are in Florida and the grand kids come down - first thing they want to do is go to the beach and collect shells!

Treasure comes in all kinds of form. I like them, and so does my family. I collect shells while metal detecting too and bring them back to the family. But sometimes I see folks looking for shells at the beach and I give them to them. I have some good memories doing this, sometimes they kids with their parents other times they are older folks that love shells.

a guy told me he puts a few good shells in his pouch for when he engages a female in conversation. Apparently, a good shell is irresistible.

Btw, you aren't the guy who broke his scoop up in Melbourne, are you?

Oh there are. I dive live shells for the collectors sometimes. Always looking for the cowrys. Those are the spotted ones in the upper left.
