1733 REALE site gives EMERALDS

This pin turned up at the same site where the 1733 1 Reale and 1831 Capped Small Dime were found....also a few other buttons and a round, what appears to be lead..coin-looking object. Anyone seen this type of thing before? Y'all are doing great!!

Well said! And a great find above from you! Those old house sites are where it's at.


I would imagine those gems are real--if the piece is that old, paste jewels would not have held up well. And I wouldn't imagine gems in a really old silver setting being paste.
