1748 store finds 3/3/12

I went back to the store site today and got another couple of lead balls, broken brass buckle pieces. rusted up nails and large iron piece and a really nice rosehead nail. I am using a Tesoro Compadre and it seem like all of the smaller stuff is coming from the top 4 inches. I am thinking of selling the Garrett GTAX 550 that i got in trade a few weeks ago and getting a Tesoro Vanquero. What do you guys think? Thanks Steve

nice, I like that dime. I've found my compadre has a hard time getting solid signals on small stuff deeper than 5" or so. It's a great machine for tot lots but I'm mainly after older stuff which is deeper (generally) so I'm upgrading to a Teknetics T2 in a few weeks
