1748 store site revisited buckle

Howdy All , Spent another couple of hours in the cornfield and found a nice small brass buckle, another small lead ball, a brass piece of a buckle? , and lots of old nails. Dime is to show size. As soon as my back allows, i will be back. steve

I think you should go back...and soon, That buckle is what we call a double loop asymmetrical buckle, and dates 1575-1700s a good find

That's a small strap buckle, and could be use for many applications, but more important to you is you have a very early Colonial buckle date, which dates your site
