Sunday made up for last couple outings. My first good dig was 1787-89
George II Machin's Mills Halfpence

Six inches away from this I dug a 1773 VA half penny.

And finished off the day with a 1818 Coronet head copper.

Also dug arrowhead flint from hole while MD'ing.

Plus Brass lock plate and buttons????
one item looks like a shirt button hole stud but i have no idea???

dat's all folks!

Very nice find! I wish I had an old place I could hunt. Go back and go over the same place again.

Re: 1773, 1787-89?, 1818 LC's

thanks everyone!

rupsul - was digging hole and noticed odd looking rock. Knew it wasn't naturally shaped that way but had my mind on LC's. *L* Got home and cleaned, Saw it was flint. Could be prehistoric for all I know.

True_Metal - thanks that's the best compliment I've ever gotten. I like that!

Jeff - we'll have to hunt together sometime when I get up into your neck of the woods. Have folks up there now and know of some good potential spots - if I can get permission.

woodworker40 - understand completely. Not easy to find a good site with exciting finds. Your day will come - it's just down the pike a few... *s* And yes I will do just that!

Keep looking - ya never know when you'll find a darn good spot! this is just my year to shine - next season it'll be one of you fine hunters. Good luck all!
