:hello: TNet , 1-26-11 Wed. 36 degree temp . The mill is still the hot spot for diggin' , slightly frosty , but still heats up to the Best hunts in a long time . I tried a different area . I believe this ,once cleared, area was once a loading /unloading spot for the mill workers , logging products of eastern red cedar and customers for these products ...sort of a 250 year old parking lot and loading dock for wagons and tavelers . Here are some more of the results of some tedious work and a lot of research. Ladies hair ornamental piece ,colour backmark buttons , gold plated ornament for ??, more rosettes , horse shoes , square nails "not shown in pics" , horse head copper tag , interesting Queen cameo medallion :headbang: 8) 8) , and hours of FUN. Thanks for stopping in and get out and find some stuff , even in the snow . daWg :icon_thumleft:

neat stuff..... i wonder what the ethnic backround of the colonists in that area was as those are not just your "run of the mill" finds... very ornate and different.... nice stuff...

Thanks bootyhoundpapa and all the kind replies . Settlers were the English , Dutch , and Swedes . I can't get over the variety of finds and the ladies jewelry type finds & will be riding this place out for as long as possible. It is great to share these digs with everyone and I hope these finds will inspire more winter hunts .The areas hit real hard with snow and the frozen ground North :( hang in there guys and gals. That pesky ground hog better see his varmit shadow , Feb. second cabin fever sux ..

I would like to but it's been in their family for years .How much would I have to charge per hunter to pay for a 1.5 million dollar property :laughing7: owners are friends and I owe them much gratitude .

Sweet stuff. Your face pin kinda reminds me of something I found a few months ago randomly near a river in an old part of town. Silver coated.
