1780's Grist mill 1-17-2011

1-17-11 29 degrees but things got hot at the old mill . Old blow hole button started the mourning . I don't dig these 1600 buttons every hunt but when I do find one , good things can happen! Some horse relics , skeleton key , large rosette , and some nice early button finds today. Thanks for stopping in, daWg

Re: 1780's Grist mill 1-17-2011

I imagine the ole mill was a place to gather and hang out. No doubt but the great finds. Everything is in great condition. Stay on that site it looks good.

Re: 1780's Grist mill 1-17-2011

Dawg, is that the SAME mill that produced all those great old coins and relics last year? Is there no end to great digs there? HH, Quindy.

Re: 1780's Grist mill 1-17-2011

I found an ole Blow Hole Button awhile back right before Jeff found his 1/2 Reale Cob the next day at the same place..not far from where I dug my clipped cob this past weekend. Definitely know you're 'in the zone' when you land one of those guys

Re: 1780's Grist mill 1-17-2011

Neat finds. Especially like the Egyptian looking silver thingy (technical term ;) and the tower button. Any idea what the tiny basket piece is?
Quite the playground you've found there. Enjoy.

Incredible finds there CMD! :notworthy: These two are my favourites! :icon_thumright:
I know the first pic is one of the rosettes (love the detail),
but what's the piece in the second pic? :icon_scratch:

Cheers,
Dave
