Sweet! I never once found Spanish silver during the three years I lived in Maryland, though I recall that my friend found an 1803 1/2 R on a school playground that had mysterious pieces of 300 year old-looking brick coming out of the soil.

I assume you still at that old site, can't see it to well but looks a little more like 1799? Which ever, its a great find.

Awesome finds!! CRU, if you zoom in on it, you can see the tail on the bottom of the 2. I thought it was 1799 as well until I blew it up.

A couple of my favorite items to find - great job! I have to say though that the silver cuff button is my favorite. Dug a similar one a couple years ago.

I agree with Abe...of course the Spanish is a super find, but the button almost appears to be either homemade or maybe the one side is just worn? That button is very, very nice. Congrats.
