found a 1793 one cent coin today
i cant beieve this and it was only 5 inches in the ground.

Yep! That Reverse was not used until 1805 (1804 if you count the Unofficial Restrike). Leaves pointing upwards 1804 (Official Strike) and before and leaves pointing downwards 1805 and later.

As stated, with the bar under the "one cent" it can't be 1793..........

Nice LC man! A lot of the local hunters in my neck of the woods call them " swamp dollars". Don't know why, but it stuck with me as well :dontknow: Anyways, the one you found is in great shape. Most of the ones you find down here are eat up so bad your'e lucky to get a date off it. Congrats!

Sorry to disappoint you, but it is certainly not a 1793. It's still a LC and always nice to find one.
