This fake coins are all on eBay and that kind of sites. An easy way to know if the coins are fake is by using a magnet. If it sticks it's for sure a fake. If it doesn't it might be real or it's made of some metal that's not magnetic. You just have to look carefully at the design before buying one.

We're it me, I would start a new thread, with more information as to how acquired, specs of the coin, such as weight and diameter, etc...rather than post on a dead thread of a fake coin.

I'm sort of glad the thread has been re-activated. I'm pretty sure that Daniel Delaney had one of these (or maybe slightly older) when he was murdered in 1865. Hoping someone will find it, probably in the downtown millrace.
