Stems and stemless, that is the stems of the laurel extends out the other side of the ribbon..Stemless stops a ribbon.. Crosslet 4 ( has a little wing off the end of the 4) or plain 4 like on modern coins.. So a crosslet 4 stemmed or stemless, or plain 4 stemmed and stemless.. Hope this helps..
