She's a beauty. If you would like to clean it you can wet it, put some baking soda on it, and lightly brush it with a tooth brush. Do not use your wife's toothbrush! Very nice find.

Always nice to get a merc ! For some reason they didn't even mint a dime in 1817 - My handy dandy "Red Book " shows that
there's a gap between 1814 and 1820 - interesting .

I was trying to remember what dime it was the talked about on diggers said was worth a lot of money I can't remember

Actually the 1916- D is major money ! there are two or three other key's /semi key's but that's the "Holy Grail" of the series.
