1817 Dime

I went to a local park today with my wife and wow on the fourth hit I had a solid 80 at 6 inch deep .... a 1917 dime is in the hole you should have hared me as I took off the dirt . oh yes it was 78 deg here today

She's a beauty. If you would like to clean it you can wet it, put some baking soda on it, and lightly brush it with a tooth brush. Do not use your wife's toothbrush! Very nice find.

Always nice to get a merc ! For some reason they didn't even mint a dime in 1817 - My handy dandy "Red Book " shows that
there's a gap between 1814 and 1820 - interesting .

Actually the 1916- D is major money ! there are two or three other key's /semi key's but that's the "Holy Grail" of the series.
