Been away for awhile - Its been too hot to dig. And with all the fires they are keeping us very busy at work...

So i work with a guy who is a contractor. He has been working on this remodel / demo late 1800's home, Sonoma CA- I finally got the nerve to ask him permission. What was I waiting for..

Anyways first 2 signals clad

Next signal Iffy deep silver

Lots of iron ( nails ) but managed to pull this coin out in first 10 minutes.

Oldest coin for me to date. So my cell phone rings, wife says get home dog throwing up blood. My god can there be any worse timing. Anyways there is time left at this site for me, so ill be back..

I just rinsed her off, ill probably dip her later ( Just cant resist )

Thats one sweet dime!!! Hope the dog gets better. Are you gonna show the contractor? Maybe wait until you hunt it out, he'll probably want to get a md and hunt it too. I hope you find alot more goodies there. HH Tom

Nice find, I would assume that the older coins are somewhat tougher to come by in California. Although I have found a very worn 1823 bust dime here in OH, my oldest seated is 1880's I think. Congratulations
