Hi all, While out in the gullies hunting i often find many broken and shards of hundreds of bottles.Finding whole one doesn,t happen every day.Heres a few english blacks, early port bottle and dutch gin and rum bottles.Mostly the whole bottles in camp trash pits and are usely found when i hit a bit of junky ground.Often the pottery shards and glass lay on the surface and often take a bit of time to find the trash pit.Often the a thick layer of clay about 3 feet feet thick and it becomes quite hard to push a ground probe threw. When takes a good half hours to get one bottle out without breaking it.Mostly plain old bottles in the gold rush time. the embossed and fancy bottles didn,t seem to to be used until 1880's hard rocking era.

Those are BEAUTIFUL case gin bottles and inkwells.

One day I hope to find a case gin.

Your recent batch of posts have been wonderful. Keep it up--and congratulations on those other finds as well.
