I got back out to the field today where I found the 2 LCs and 2 Half dimes last week. I still haven't pounded all of it but I snagged a decent 1833 LC towards the end of that part of the day. I really went out today to find 2 more sites located on the owners farm. It took awhile but I ended up finding it. I only had about 45 mins to an hour to detect it. I found a bunch of smashed lead including a big 0.69 caliber Minie. I got a couple of flat buttons while searching around for the debris field and came across a 07-22(pull-tab) signal on the Explorer SE laying on top of the ground. I started to dig a little plug and noticed the beautiful 1852 3-center laying right on top. I have a feeling this field could top some of my others,as I haven't really touched it yet. HH guys!

very nice 3-Cent, usually come out of the ground in much worse shape. Or my only one did at least.

I don't know if I've told you this before, but I love your videos. This is my kind of hunting, and my kind of finds. That 3c piece is flawless. You couldn't hope for any better. I have seen so many of these posted that were worn, plow-destroyed, or bent. That is fantastic. And yes, you have a .69 cal. Minieball there.

Congrats on a great hunt, and keep up the great work.

Forgot to say that your videos remind me SO much of diggin in Kentucky. In spite of what I'm finding down here, sometimes I really miss that state. :) What kind of camera do you use? Hat-mounted?

Thanks! Where I'm detecting it's about an hour from Kentucky. I use the Kodak Zi6. It isn't mounted but I do like seeing those videos where guys have it mounted so I may try that in the future. It does pretty well for these little adventures ;D
