What a thrill Muddy....I found an 1853 this year,paper thin coin's and tiny as Sh&%.....Congrat's on a hard to dig coin!!!! :thumbsup:

Nice find! I found one over the summer. I nearly skipped right over it, I believe it was hardly a chirp on my machine. I usually don't post pics in another members thread but this seems to be getting a lot of 3-center hits so what the heck. Nice to compare them all. Mine is discolored and bent, but still nice. Congrats on your find!!

I took the pics with my digital camera using a loupe. I put the camera lense right on it and focus with a good light shining on the coin. Takes good closeups.
