It's been a lil bit since I have been able to get out. The street tear out I have been hunting has moved along quite a bit and some new holes have been dug along with fresh dirt piles from deeper depths next to them. So I went out tonight and hit a good number of items, one of which was completely unexpected and made my month! I hit a couple of rosies, 46 & 63. It was nice digging some silver again. Another flat button, very small, from 1820-1830, a snap button rivet from france, a cool looking valve (not sure what to), my wifes favorite a bunny rabbit buckle prob off suspenders or a backpack, one of my favorites was the antique metal pencil sharpener, a copper arrow head button or something worn on clothes (would appreciate any help with an ID on this item), and a brass bushel tag like used to be put on cotton bushels once bundled up (there used to be a very large green house/garden center here in the 1800's). And lastly, my most exciting find ever...an 1852 silver 3cent piece!!! I've never seen one let alone held one! At first I thought it was a foreign coin of some sort until I saw the United States of America on it (I freaked out a bit, I admit it!!!) Anyway, 3 silvers and a bunch of really cool relics, not shabby for a few hours of swinging. I'm gonna be pretty sad when this street is finally done, but there will always be more to dig!! Thanks for looking and happy hunting!
