1867 Shield Nickel Cleaned!

Thanks for all of the replies for cleaning methods on this nickel. I experimented with olive oil, ketchup, then NevR Dull - a silver cleaning cotton impregnated with a solution. The NevR Dull is what worked on this nickel. The detail was there, it was just so caked with black crud you couldn't see it (see uncleaned one - last picture). By the way, these two were found at an old mill site and homestead. Found lots of other relics this weekend - some from this site, some from others - which I will post at a later date. Thanks again everyone, and thanks for looking!

Great coin, really looks good. I have a sheild also that needs cleaning. I 2nd the previous post where do you find never dull.
