Re: confirmed: 1873 double-LIBERTY Indian Head

Just digging an Indian Head in that condition is a great accomplishment. Finding an error Indian is extremely rare. To do both with one coin, just amazing !!!

Fantastic looking coin !!! Looks great up on the Banner...

Congrats from a fellow Mass hunter.

Coingratulations on your coin and banner. I did not know to look for the double stamp. Was it just that year? Great find and good knowledge in knowing what to look for.
Thanks for sharing.

I have had your images reviewed by the top the most highly acclaimed experts in the coin collecting business.

They all concur that it is an ordinary (almost worthless) "dug" Indian-Head Penny worth about $2.00.

An attorney (working on my behalf) in Nigeria will soon be in touch with you, concerning the purchase of you worthless penny.

I Think PCGS don't grade dug coins.. I could be wrong... might want to call/email ahead before shipping
No I don't think they do either

Wow, what an extremely rare coin in great shape. How is the rim? I've seen indians that look pretty good, but have chunks missing out of the rim. If the rim is fine, this thing should grade really high. Congrats!

Re: confirmed: 1873 double-LIBERTY Indian Head

Hey Cheffer that is an awesome coin. I had an older fella I work with look at the picture of it as he is a serious coin collector. He says that your coin is one of the best dug coins he has seen. He thinks it will probably grade for a little less that an EF 40 considering the rust that you can visibly see around the edge of the coin. He says the coin is probably worth 2K to 2.5K, but then again he is only going off of the pics you posted, usually pictures dont look anything like the coin does in person. Keep us informed as to what it grades at.
