I found a 1877 indian head penny in my backyard and my family has lived here for 60 years and I don't know if it's real or what to do with it I'm looking for help please

Looks like one of those giant novelty pennies that they sell at Cracker Barrel.

I think the way the 1877 looks just is not right, and when you feel it aint right, it sometimes is not. Here is a link to the 1877 cent with a picture of one with the same wierd date and it talks about counterfeits. The date should be short and squatty. It certainly should not be three inches in diameter as the one shown in the link below. Try re-posting a pic of it with a new Lincoln next to it for size reference please.

Definately not a genuine 1877 Indian! Sorry!! The date should be straight accross, not "curved".

I see a multitude of errors on that 1877. It's not real.....no doubt some fantasy piece. I could easily list 6 errors on the 'fantasy' coin, and IF I looked closer, I can find more.

Uhh, if you find an Indian cent that's around 2 inches in diameter then chances are it ain't real. If you're just trolling then good for you, the bait got me to respond.
