Lived in Belize many years and my wife and I used to metal detect and dive for bottles just offshore inside the reef. One day we found 6 of these bottles, among others we found throughout the years. I usually cleaned all the coral off with muriatic acid. This one I just loved the way it looked so left it. It reads "Bottled By Romac Springs Belfast St Established 1850 I believe these "soda bottles" Were from 1880's-1890's. Love to hear from anyone with more info- Cheers

I agree with ya, it has a fantastic look to it… I especially like that the bottle and coral line up well, with the Belfast beautifully centered. Great find!👍🏼

I have several round bottom sodas and wish one was embossed. The coral really is appealing. Thanks for sharing.

I'm sure you already know why they have round bottoms.

The 'bottle people' call them Hutches for the method used to seal them. They went away when the 'crown top' was made.
