1882 Indian & 10 More Wheats Today

Hunted 6 different yards today and came home with 10 wheats and a nice 1882 Indian Head Penny. The picture doesn't do it any justice really. It has a clear full Liberty. I also got a ring with a horseshoe on it. It also has a horse head on one side and a cowboy on the other side. Some day when it's clean I'll ask for some ID help when I can take a good picture of it.

The years on the wheaties are:

1937
1938S
1941
1941D
1944
1944D
1946S
1947S
1952D

Wow.... 3 S Mints... You don't see that everyday in this part of the country.

Today puts me at 38 Indians and 290 Wheat Pennies on the year. I'm shooting for 50 Indians and 400 Wheats.

Yeah, Ditto that on the S mint marks here. We average maybe 1 in 50 to be S mint marks. IH is in decent shape.

Yeah, I'm trying to break 50 before you do... That 7 IH day that I just had made it a close race. If my buddy hadn't been out there the other day I would've had 3 more IH's to make it a 10 IH day.... now that's a goal to shoot for!

as for the ring...someone mentioned HOPALONG CASSIDY...well, did a search...here is one on Ebay....not like yours...but the pic of CASSIDY and the one on your fing....look almost alike...don't they? I looke for Gene Autry, Roy Rogers and a few others....with no luck
