I hunted this property about 5 years ago with my XLT.
Had some good finds then but nothing to what the Etrac can pull out.
I saw the owner out in front so I stopped by for a little chat with her.
Asked if it was ok to look around again, She said, Go ahead.
The lawn is beautiful so I was real careful, as I was last time too.
I only wanted to do a short hunt and not dig to many holes so I left only after about 40 minutes.
I dug 2 pieces of junk and the rest were all good targets.
After only about 2 minutes into the hunt I dug the 1915D Quarter, I sure nicked the hell out of a beautiful coin. Too Shallow....
5 minutes later I dug the 59 dime and the 1916d quarter in the same hole.
2 minute later out popped a 1907 IH
Several wheats and then ended with a no date SLQ....
Showed the owner and Thanked Her and said I would be back another day. She said, That would be fine....

What great digs Bob working that Etrac for only 40 minutes.
I'm sure your going to hit more of your old spots again just to
see what the xlt missed.

very odd that you didnt have any green corrosion on that indian head!Good finds.
No corrosion but a nice patina.. You want a close up none believer..
Not all old pennies come out of the ground corroded it's all in the soil conditions.
This IH was only 2 inches deep

Thanks guys..
I only wish the lawn wasn't so nice looking, I would have done more digging.
I know I can always go back now. Jez I only hit an area of 15 x 15. I have a whole double lot to do....

WoW, funny you should say that as a dirt fisher, you would know that some coins do come out of the ground with no verdegris
on them. The corrosion comes from the soil conditions and such.

:icon_thumright: :icon_thumleft: Great finds.

I have on occasion found Indian Heads over in Springfield IL. that had almost no corrosion or discoloration to them at all. What there is or not is in the soil that allows this I have no Idea, but over the years I have found several. Really makes for a nice and unusual find.

Thanks for the great photo's.
